The Vision

A New Kind of Studio for a New Kind of Market

Second Serving Studios is a full-service professional media production facility under development at 411 W. 4th Street in downtown Winston-Salem. Designed to serve commercial producers, advertising agencies, food and lifestyle brands, streaming platforms, and content creators of every scale, Second Serving Studios offers broadcast-quality infrastructure in an accessible, community-rooted setting.

This is not a rental space. It is a complete production environment — built to broadcast standards, with in-house capabilities that take a project from concept to delivered product under one roof.

Multi-camera switching, audio mixing, and live monitoring built for broadcast-quality output. Second Serving Studios will also provide live broadcast services to productions at the Stevens Center, the performing arts home of UNCSA, located next door.

The Kitchen Stage

Second Serving Studios features a fully integrated, modular culinary production kitchen built directly into the soundstage — purpose-designed for food television, streaming content, advertising, cooking demonstrations, and culinary education. A separate prep kitchen supports food styling, batch prep, and back-of-house workflow.

Second Serving Studios is an initiative of Project Space 411, a Winston-Salem nonprofit dedicated to economic opportunity through the creative economy. When Second Serving Studios opens, it will bring skilled production jobs to Winston-Salem, create pathways for local talent, and give regional businesses access to professional production infrastructure that previously required a trip to Charlotte or Atlanta.
